Did you know...

The Red Baron was a German fighter pilot and the most successful flying ace of World War 1 credited with 80 air combat victories.

His name was Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen (2 May 1892 - 21 April 1918).

The Red Baron downed his last adversary on 20 April 1918 - the day before he was shot in his red Fokker Dr. 1.

As a hero the Red Baron has inspired many interpretations and caricatures - among others Snoopy who sees the Red Baron as his enemy when flying his dog house.
